VOLUNTEERS

The day-to-day operation of Calvin Circle Library is largely carried out by a group of dedicated volunteers. They are probably the first persons met by residents who enter the Library. Some volunteers take part in cataloging new books. Others are computer savvy and can help residents with their electronic tasks. Three new computer work stations await residents who need to use such equipment. The computers are connected to a new printer to assist in record keeping of electronic results. Many of the volunteers also are familiar with the Library’s collection, and often can guide residents to a good read. Home base for Library volunteers is at the desk near to the entrance. Come in and say ‘hello’ to the current volunteer; their name plate is prominently displayed on the desk.

There is always a need for more volunteers, in regularly scheduled time-slots or as substitutes. If you wish to help the Library by becoming a volunteer, please contact Karen Minturn (Library Coordinator) at x2871.
