Yes! The Library welcomes volunteers. Contact the Library Coordinator at x4365 and come in for a visit.

Desk volunteers are very willing to explain the 2-part system for borrowing library materials!

1) The sign-out notebook is on the Desk. Enter the Date, your NAME, PHONE NUMBER, the AUTHOR, TITLE and TYPE of the item you are borrowing.

2) Notice the current page number of the sign-out notebook you are using. Complete the sign-out slip inside the item you are borrowing by entering the THAT PAGE NUMBER on the sign-out slip.

Return items in the Book Drop immediately to the left as you enter the library lobby.

The normal check-out period is three weeks, but items may be renewed.

Yes, Enter your request on the green HOLD form near the Desk. You will be notified by telephone when it's available.

Yes, If there is no answer, leave a message with your telephone number, and your call will be returned. 

The Calvin Circle Library has a large selection of large-print books, as well as many audiobooks. The Boswell Library in Assisted Living also has a large-print book collection. All residents are welcome to visit and check out items from both libraries.

The LOW VISION AID machine located in the back of the library is easy to use and will enlarge any printed materials for easier reading.

Leave donated magazines on the tables in the library entrance.

The Library welcomes suggestions and provides a pink BUY FORM near the Desk. Your suggestion will be forwarded to the library's selection committee.

 The library subscribes to the daily Chicago Tribune, New York Times, and Wall Street Journal.

The previous day's editions are on the conference table in the center of the room.
